General procedure for cushion packaging design
1 Fully understand the characteristics of the product, including the weight, shape, size, material, position, and nature of the vulnerable part, the natural frequency, the purpose of the product, the strength of the product shell, the surface condition, and the position of the protruding part.
2 Know if there are any accessories packaged with the product. If so, you should find out the relevant situation, whether the product needs to be packaged separately or in the inner packaging, and the number of products installed.
3 Understand the external force conditions, transportation methods, climatic conditions, storage conditions and storage time of the package in circulation.
4 Determine the overall structure of the package, which depends on which packaging technology to take to determine the level of the packaging structure.
5 According to the characteristics of the product, select the cushion material that meets the requirements and also budget friendly, then determines the material and size of the packaging.
6 Determine the fixing method of the contents in the package, which must be fixed and stable.
7 Calculate the packaging material fee, processing fee, etc., and evaluate whether the design is economical and reasonable.
8 Carry out the packaging test to verify whether the cushioning and shockproof performance of the package meets the design requirements.
